On April 10, a discussion meeting on the technical specifications of optical cable sheath materials sponsored by the Communication Optical Cable Material Equipment (TOEM) Market and Technology Forum was successfully held in Shantou. The meeting was hosted by Shantou Aoxing Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. Wei Motherland, President of Yongding Research Institute, and Chen Xiaohong, Standardization Manager of Communication Science and Technology, were invited to attend the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Mu Chengbin, Honorary Chairman of TOEM Forum, Duan Zhigang, Secretary General of Communication Cable and Optical Cable Professional Committee of China Association of Communication Enterprises, Lu Bingyi, General Manager of Shantou Aoxing, Dr. Wei Zhongcheng of Network Rui Laboratory, Liu Tai of Tyre Laboratory of China Information and Communication Institute, and Dai Na of National Cable Testing, as well as more than 40 experts from Changfei, Fiberhome, Hengtong, Tifa, Junzhi, Yongding, Futong, Tongding, Changzhou Nanfang, Kepuda, Zhongguang Nuclear Tuopu, Kangtai and other units attended the meeting.
In view of the current quality of optical cable products and the status of sheath raw materials, the meeting requires that this technical specification is suitable for national standards, with reasonable additions and emphasis on applicability and innovation. Compared with the current national standard, some indicators have been slightly improved, and the detection content has been expanded, so that the standard can better adapt to the current domestic raw material production and quality control requirements. The meeting also put forward some contents to be studied, and will carry out supporting test work, so as to better complete the main contents of the specification. At the meeting, experts from material production enterprises, optical cable enterprises and testing centers exchanged views, which played a long-term significance for the healthy development of the industry.
