US $0.33 billion Bangladesh Khulna Power Plant EPC Project Greets Chinese Delegation to Bangladesh

The 200-300MW (dual fuel) combined cycle power station project in Khulna, Bangladesh, led by Jiangsu Yongding Taifu Engineering Co., Ltd., started on April 30, 2019 and was completed and delivered on August 30, 2023. The contract amount of this project is US $0.331 billion and the owner is BPDB (Bangladesh National Electricity Development Board).

The project will be subject to single cycle commercial commissioning on January 30, 2023, combined cycle commercial commissioning on August 30, 2023 and completion taking over certificate PAC issued by owner BPDB on November 28, 2023. During this period, Chinese Ambassador Yao in Bangladesh, Counselor Song of the Economic and Commercial Office and other delegations visited the site on August 29, 2023, and highly recognized and praised the smooth implementation of the project.
