On December 6, 2018, Yongding's first 10-meter-long ± 10kV/6kA cold-insulated HTS DC cable conductor was successfully developed by its subsidiary Eastern Superconducting Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. The key raw materials used in the superconducting cable are all produced by Suzhou New Materials Research Institute, a subsidiary of Yongding Co., Ltd. During the whole research and development process, the superconducting application team has made new breakthroughs in the key technologies such as the flow-averaging process, quench protection process and cold insulation winding process of superconducting cables, which also marks a further step in the in-depth practice of Yongding's superconducting industry in the field of power transmission application.
