This is the second investigation conducted by the leaders of the Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Information Commission on this project after the visit of Director Li Yutao and his party on March 29. Accompanied by Yongding Chairman Mo Lindi, Director Chi and his entourage visited the superconducting technology laboratory, production process and equipment of the Suzhou New Materials Research Institute, and the self-designed second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape industrialization production line. Director Chi fully integrated the innovative resources of well-known universities and scientific research institutes in the development of high-temperature superconducting technology from basic technology research and development to the industrialization of second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes, and then to application development, and carried out close industry-university-research cooperation., Carrying out technical research in multiple superconducting application fields, fully affirmed the breakthrough results and industry-leading level, and put forward constructive guidance for the next step of construction and implementation.

During the investigation, Cai Yuan, chairman of Suzhou New Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd., who is in charge of Yongding's superconducting industry, introduced Yongding's development process and Yongding's work in the superconducting sector to the inspection leaders. Cai Yuan said, "Through years of continuous R & D investment, Yongding has reached the domestic leading and international advanced level in the field of superconducting kilometer tapes".

Later, Gu Hongwei, director of the academic committee, showed through PPT that he reported on the basic conditions, innovative strength, establishment mode, market application prospect and preparation plan of the "Jiangsu High Temperature Superconducting Technology Application Innovation Center" from five aspects: overall development goal and direction, key technology research in superconducting industry, operation main body and participating units, development plan and current preparation.

After listening to Yongding's work report, Director Chi made a survey and summary, pointing out that the development of superconducting industry technology is of great strategic significance at the national level. Director Chi affirmed that Yongding has made great contributions in the field of superconductivity and has a good foundation and advantages so far. Director Chi hopes to position the independent operation subject of this innovation center well, diversify the composition of shareholders, and become an entity with closer industry-university-research cooperation. Make full use of the existing technical foundation, find a good high-temperature superconducting materials with a good market return on the application of the entry point, with the benefits to form a virtuous circle. It is hoped that the superconducting technology application innovation center led by Yongding will become the core force of national superconducting technology innovation.

Finally, Director Chi also hopes that Yongding will actively participate in the national science and technology research and development plan while preparing for the establishment of a provincial innovation center, and strive to establish a national innovation center.
